Level Three BTEC National Award Children’s Play and Learning Development

Introduction

The BTEC National Award in Children’s Care, Learning and Development will give an understanding of the underpinning knowledge and practical skills to provide learners with common core principles of Children’s care for progression to employment or higher level education.

Recommended GCSE’s

Home Economics: Childcare A*-C

English Language GCSE A*-B

It is not essential, although preferable, to have studied Home Economics Childcare at GCSE

Other Information

The BTEC in Children’s Care, Learning and Development requires 60 hours work placement to be completed throughout the course.

Grades awarded are A, C and E.

There is no Year 13 ‘Cash In’.
