Post 16 at Loreto Grammar School, Omagh…celebrating 170 years.
We look forward to welcoming the return of our GCSE cohort of 2025, along with new students to Post 16. Our Loreto tradition of education ensures inspiration, innovation, progression, transformation whilst preparing future leaders and agents of betterment and world change.

Our Post 16 subject offer in Loreto and Omagh Learning Community is extensive, encompassing general and vocational pathways within a curriculum which caters for all interests and learning styles. We provide opportunity for breadth of study and preparation for higher education, apprenticeships and employment.

Agriculture*, Art and Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Children’s Play, Learning and Development*, Construction*, Creative Media*, Digital Technology, Engineering*, English Literature, Environmental Technology, French, Geography, Government and Politics, Health and Social Care (Single/Double Award), History, Irish, Life and Health Science, Mathematics, Music, Nutrition and Food Science, Performing Arts*, Physics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Software Systems Development, Sociology, Spanish, Technology and Design, Travel and Tourism* and BTEC Sport.
In addition to subjects of choice, Post 16 students avail of Enrichment and Leadership Opportunities, Extra-curricular Activities and External Links including Support for and from a Worldwide Network of Loreto Schools.
The curriculum at Post-16 encourages breadth of study and is complemented by a wide, challenging Enrichment Programme. At Post 16 we offer a range of general and applied courses. The school will meet the requirements of the Entitlement Framework for Post 16 and is currently a member of the Omagh Learning Community.
